I'm on my way home from Las Vegas and the internet is still my drug of choice
Oh, it's been too long but I finally got the internet back!
Guess where I am… I’m in Vegas!!!!! Or at least I was in Vegas- right now I’m sitting in the Las Vegas airport waiting to board my flight (I’ve about a half hour), so I decided now is as good a time as any to update my journal and get all you bloggers out there up to speed on my life- for those of you that actually care that is.
So Vegas was awesome- there is so much to do here and everything is open super late. Needless to say I spent more money then I actually have (Visa is going to be hounding me) and I drank way more then I should have (but thankfully I didn’t get myself into too much trouble). My cousin and I saw Cirque Du Soleil’s KA which was stunning and amazing and we went to see Celine Dion who was worth every penny. The woman is phenomenal and unbelievable- someone please tell me how such a big sound comes from such a little woman- her show is a mind blowing visual high and then you have her who completely knocks it out of the park. But the best part was checking out Sick Puppies at the House of Blues. I love, love, love Sick Puppies and I was so happy when I stumbled upon the concert listing. They rock and I met them. Sum 41 was the headliner which was great as well but I went for Sick Puppies and I wasn’t disappointed. I highly suggest that everyone check out Sick Puppies, they are awesome.
The shopping in Vegas is out of this world- you really need to have money to come (or live) here because everywhere you go its name brand but it’s so expensive. I did manage a couple deals though- 2 designer pairs of sunglasses and these adorable Betsy Johnson shoes. And as a child who grew up on Elvis Presley, this city is unbelievable. Elvis is on absolutely everything over here- I didn’t know what to get my dad with all the options.
The weather in Vegas is a whole new thing- I’ve never felt anything as hot as the weather here. Especially considering I come from
But as fun as Vegas was, I’m so ready to go home now, and I found it really annoying that at the MGM, where we stayed and loved, they charged to use the internet even though I was paying to stay there and here at the airport the internet is free. It’s been a hard week without the internet so I’m getting my little fix now being the 5 hours plane ride (I hate plane rides).
After this trip I need a vacation where I stay in a hotel bed all day and order room service!
I don’t want to go back to work tomorrow… will someone out there write me a doctors note please? LOL
