Presents make the world go round... at least they make mine go round!
Okay so totally awesome day- woke up at a normal time (9:30am) which is like heaven since I’ve been having to get up so early to go to work but I worked really late today which was unreal. I mean after this week I’ll be working early everyday until University starts up again so there goes my summer. Expect for the bright spot that is
Anyway besides getting to sleep in I finally got the cable guy to come out and up in a cable wire so I finally have TV again and I can finally hook up my computer. And on top of that since he came at noon today I had to get ready earlier so I was all ready for work instead of having to rush later on.
Plus my mom decided that yes, she is the worst secret keeper in the world and just out and tells me that she has decided to throw me a 21st (that is still wired) birthday party and it was going to be a surprise but just so I know it’s tonight and instead of finding someway to get me out to the restaurant it’s easier to tell me about it and have me drive myself after work! Whatever, just that fact that I got a party was enough surprise for me. The party rock (and there was awesome food!) and I got great gifts. Mostly it was money, since I need it for Vegas- I even got a clean 100$ American from a cousin- but I also got a couple gift certificates (Chapters and HMV) and chocolates, a cook-book since I’m trying to learn to cook and a cupcake maker set which is adorable! Oh and I got two CD’s from my cousin who is forever trying to direct my music taste- he got me Broken Social Scene (whom I’ve heard and somewhat like) and The Shins (whom I’ve never even heard of let alone heard- are they any good?) Anyway last year he gave me him copy if Interpol and they rocked so I think I’ll probably like these bands as well.
It was nice and small- not to many people just the important ones, plus my cousin and I spent like all of dinner discussing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows and it’s still really hard talking out all the characters she killed but so far everyone I’ve talked to about Harry Potter is in agreement that the book didn’t need the stupid Epilogue!
Tomorrow night I’m going out again. My friends are taking me out for Sushi (I can’t wait!) for my birthday which should be crazy fun- I’ll post tomorrow if it is!
